These records document the executive orders carried out by Governor Augustus E. Willson. Included are orders concerning the sending of troops to Hopkinsville in response to the "Night Rider" troubles, the resignation of the adjutant general, rules in pardon cases, and the pardoning of all officers and members of the State Guard who were on duty during the "Night Rider" troubles. Also included is an executive order designating the Kentucky Branch Penitentiary in Eddyville as the official site for executions in Kentucky.
